From an undated history of the Parish up to 1984, is the statement: "...Whenever a member of the Church is at work (and at play and at rest), that person represents the Church and our Lord... rejoicing in and depending on the power of the holy spirit to guide and direct them in all they do."

St. David
Saint David is the patron Saint of Whales. Renowned for his teaching, preaching, and the establishment of many churches and monisteries during the 6th century, his feast day is March 1st. His last saying, "Be joyful, and keep your faith and your creed, and do the little things that you have seen me do and heard about", illustrates his belief in living simply and loving God.
